Operinter participates in Canton Fair 2024, a leading global trade event

The Canton Fair, officially known as the China Import and Export Fair, is one of the largest and most influential global trade events. Recently held in Guangzhou, it has brought together more than 253,000 international buyers from 214 countries, a record number of participants.

In its 136th edition, the event has consolidated its role as a key commercial bridge by presenting new eco-friendly products and designs, as well as attracting companies and visitors from all over the world. Operinter, a 360º international logistics operator, once again took part in the event as a demonstration of its international vocation.

Epicentre for trade, innovation and sustainability

Since its founding in 1957, the Canton Fair has evolved into a strategic space for global business exchange. This year’s edition has been divided into three phases: advanced manufacturing, household products and wellness solutions. This year, more than 57% of exhibiting companies have incorporated advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence, big data and the industrial internet, a reflection of the fair’s role in the modernisation of global markets.

Sustainable products featured prominently at this year’s event. More than one million items were designed with low environmental impact in mind. In addition, exports to countries participating in the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) accounted for more than half of the trade transactions. This is yet another sign of the growing importance of markets that are committed to sustainability and technological innovation.

Operinter strengthens its global network

Committed to excellence in international logistics, Operinter has actively participated in this edition to connect with strategic partners, explore supply chain innovations and adapt to global trade trends. During the show, the Operinter team met with manufacturers, distributors and industry leaders. One of its main objectives was to identify new opportunities for collaboration and strengthen its global network in key markets such as Asia, America and Europe.

This conference has served as a showcase for the company, which is part of the logistics division of Alonso Group. In a business environment where advanced logistics is essential, the Canton Fair reinforces the role of its participants as strategic partners in complex supply chains.
